BisectHosting is a company that provides server hosting for various video games including Minecraft, Palworld, ARK, and Valheim. My time there as a graphic designer was able to provide helpful experience working within a brand and I was able to hone my skills refining their branding guidelines and creating content for their socials, conference presence and partners including Make A Wish UK.
Graphic created in partnership with Make A Wish UK for their Wish 200 Week.
To push our services, we also created a graphics in order to advertise the games we partnered with or hosted servers for. These generally include BisectHosting's branding guidelines while utilizing the intended game's own artwork to create an engaging gifs or coming up with something entirely new as a part of an advertisement such as the "Connecting With Friends" reddit ad campaign.
Some examples of graphics I would create on the marketing side for socials and blog posts would include custom graphics for campaigns launched such as their Secret Sauce, Server Of The Month and Hot Fire Round Interviews with partnered creators.
Joining the team right around the time of the Game Developers Conference (GDC), I was able to get some fresh experience creating some printed assets for the company including new business cards, shirts, and even packaging for a LEGO esque MiniFig featuring the company's mascot, Biko!
Shifting into the motion side of my work here. I would often create short and engaging videos for BisectHosting's social media and partnered creators.
Finally, among the more fun of the graphics I created were those for the weekly social posts on Twitter. The tone being much lighter than the rest of the company's branding. The team was tasked with creating engaging fun meme graphics whether ordered by the socials team or come up with by the artist. For instance, I created a fun 'Where's Waldo' esque series with out of place jokes hidden in Minecraft screenshots and utilized 3D software to create a take on the "Chicken Jockey" meme.
