This alcohol label project was for my Package Design class at Lakeland Community College. Being someone that doesn't drink it definitely required some research into the package design of alcohol bottles to figure out what I wanted to do and how I wanted to represent it. After some rough draft ideas I decided on the name Foresight Spirits and began what I found to be a pretty adventurous project.
When I got to working on the design of the package, I came up with the idea to create a fortune teller booth look to the design. To accentuate this idea, I came up with the idea that the fortune teller would be displayed on the inside of the back of the bottle. This combined with the liquid would give the fortune teller a mysterious and mystifying vibe to him.
Putting together the packaging became a big challenge for me. I ended up printing my front and back designs on see through plastic-like material and then placing paper underneath the parts that weren't supposed to be see through. After much deliberation and many mistakes and reprinting, I finally got it together. Unfortunately the bottle in a store environment would require backlighting to really make the teller standout but overall I view the project as a success in terms of the challenges I faced getting it together.
